3 Star ReviewMediocre music magazine.
A review of Blender Magazine, September 20, 2008

This magazine has slid downhill from its beginnings. It has a lot of opinions on music, but it never gives multiple opinions from different people on upcoming music. It is just one cd, one review, take it or leave it. It is good for the range of music it covers and how many different cd's it reviews in each magazine. I preferred this magazine when it just started, because its opinions didn't seem to be so arrogant, as it has now become. I prefer hip-hop and I do not disagree with the coverage, it just seems that all the writers in this magazine like rock or somthing else then hip-hop and are force to review or write about it. Besides that it is a mediocre music magazine that needs writers that are involved in all music.

4 Star ReviewA rather informative and entertaining old and new music roundup
A review of Blender Magazine, January 10, 2008

As Rolling Stone continues its gradual slide into an irrelevant, stale hippie abyss populated with three star album ratings, sloppy political "reporting", paparazzi muck, recycled feature stories on recycled bands, and an overwhelming sense of self-importance, Blender puts the focus (for the most part) where it belongs:  the music.  A fine mix of both old and new artists, with the drawback being the occasional feature on scantily clad female pop-tarts.  Hey, the photos are nice, but let's skip the lip-synchers.  Plus the magazine's humor and tongue-in-cheekiness are refreshing and makes for a fun read.

3 Star Review3 1/2 stars for Nickelback????
A review of Blender Magazine, December 10, 2007
Submitted by: John Labut from Grosse Pointe Farms, MI

I loved the recent top 100 indie rock albums of all time.  However, a few months prior, a positive review of Nickelback almost turned me off from this magazine for good.  Google Nickle back to back and experience how little talent these clowns have.  Focus on REAL artists and I'll keep my subscription.  Tell me about upcoming blues and jazz artists.  Let's talk about talented players and songwriters- John Mayer for instance.  I don't care about Hinder and Nickelback and other trash rock garbage that's out there.

It is very different from other magazines.  I enjoy the attitude that it conveys.
