The magazine was  very flimsy for a book aimed at  babies, it was folded in half by the mail carrier and then easily ripped apart by my one year old.

Best for 6mos to 2 yrs

Sturdy little magazine (heavy card stock, almost a board book). Very basic stuff, best for babies & toddlers. Covers a different letter in each issue. Once your kid is about 2-3 yrs old or if you want a change of pace, switch to Zootles - it covers a different animal in each issue in depth while also emphasizing a letter, a number, and a concept (up/down) for that issue.

I have 3 zero year olds at home and this magazine is all the rage.    I can't get little Godark from eating page 30. Its his favorite.   The animals are all so life-like.  I was  shocked when I read on a really really reputible blog that none of the animals in this magazine are real.  They're all stuffed animals! amazing.  Once all the pages are devoured, the leftover staples make great soup stock.  To think that once Ranger Rick was raised in our proud little town of Branson.  To that my friends I say cheers.
