American Artist is better than I remembered it.  It has been several years since I subscribed, and am glad I did.  I will keep this going.

This magazine always has a subject I need to read.

Regarding "The School Of Wyeth: A Master's Influence"  I have been inspired by Andrew Wyeth.  Books about him have given me permission to accept the fact that multiple studies are necessary to develop a composition.  It was good to see something about Robert Bateman who I was familiar with in the early eighties.  It was instructive to see that he now does paintings that are not strickly wildlife.

So far I have loved American Artist. I have a huge amount to learn about painting and drawing, but there is the outside possibility that one day I may indeed learn how. The magazine provides me with tips and pointers, lessons about technique, reminders about the fundamentals that all artists simply know (and that I am just learning), and even strong doses of inspiration. After teaching for more than 45 years, developing a new skill is more than exciting; it is, in a certain way, rejuvenating. Ben E, Denver, CO
