The New Look in the Cultural Survival Magazine

Congratulations on the new and revised version of your Cultural Survival magazine. I think it is a 100% improvement, probably because it seems to include all the improvements I had suggested in the earlier readers' survey. It is attractive in appearance, reader friendly (rather than an academic journal), well designed with interesting articles up front featuring Global Response actions, a good Global Response pull-out section, and some short pieces about what's happening in the CS world. Kudos to the editorial board for rethinking the magazine. It bodes well for 2012 and beyond. Season's greetings and good wishes.

Keeping the Focus on Indigenius People of the World

I first saw Cultural Survival at a multi-cultural fair. Working and living with the Native People of Alaska I have seen the decline in a strong culture in just the past 40 years. The same has been going on around the world. My own background (Finnish/Estonian) is a small culture group as well. Once a language and its culture is lost so does the identity of the people that it belongs to. This magazine continues to focus on the viable and valuable cultures that wish to maintain themselves and provide all humanity their strengths and cultural values.

A Great Magazine for Culture Studies

Great magazine. Reads easily cover to cover. Interesting articles: think Smithsonian for lesser known topics.

Greatest Magazine for Indigenous Issues Ever!

If you care about our Indigenous Peoples, then you will love this zine. Contains more about survival and preservation of culture than any other zine I know of. Well worth the time and effort! Excellent organization!
