great idea magazine A review of Coastal Living Magazine, August 15, 2009 Submitted by: Beachcomber-to-be from Hunt Valley, MD
Although we have only received one issue; I can say that the magazine is all that it's cracked up to be. Great ideas, interesting articles as well as a classified area which is very useful.
Planning on moving to a coastal area within the next year or so, we have used the magazine (and a special Coastal publication "Coastal Colors") to start mentally decorating and landscaping the home of our dreams on either Oahu, Hawaii or Longboat Key, Florida where we will be in what seems like a very short time.

I am always looking for new decorating ideas that are coastal or beachy without being overly done and this magazine always has some great ideas and new twists on decorating in that style. Also enjoy the recipes and articles about special locations.

Good fantasy beach trip A review of Coastal Living Magazine, June 23, 2009 Submitted by: beach bliss from Spring, TX
I always enjoy reading "Coastal Living" Reading it is like a quick trip to a beach - without getting sandy or wet! Reading about other people's dream beach houses is almost as good as telling people about my beach house. The recipes are always great. Do wish that recipes had a rating system for degree of difficulity to prepare, though.

I miss the house plans A review of Coastal Living Magazine, April 2, 2009 Submitted by: melyod from layton, ut
One of my favorite features in Coastal Living was the house plans. I got my first magazine and there is no house plan. I hope it was just this particular issue and not that the house plans are gone forever.

Coastal Living--my water guru. A review of Coastal Living Magazine, August 26, 2008 Submitted by: Susi from Saint James City, Fl
I live on a small island on the Gulf coast in Southwest Florida. Coastal Living gives me a lot of decorating ideas as well as sources for coastal merchandise. I also use the recipes for all the locally caught seafood. Our island is abundant in Grouper, Snook, Redfish, Gulf shrimp, and locally raised clams and scallops. The island is heavily populated with artists and eclectic galleries. We're known as "The Creative Coast", so your magazine really compliments the atmosphere here.

Always interesting articles, good ideas on gift giving, beautiful layouts and photos.

Love the photos A review of Coastal Living Magazine, December 11, 2007 Submitted by: Susan from Lee's Summit, MO
The only major dislike I have of this magazine are the recipes. I don't think they compare to other similar magazines like Southern Living. They are not as appealing. I have a lake home myself and I'm always looking for new and creative ways to entertain weekend guests.
I do love the variety of coastal homes featured in the magazine and the lovely photos. I would like to see more in the articles about how they decorated. Also, more on flowers and plants would be nice.
I have taken the magazine for several years, but I am considering dropping because the magazine just doesn't have enough value and "meat" to it. Typically, I tear out 5-10 pages from every Southern Living mag each month--I don't tear anything out of the Coastal Living mag--so that's my gauge of value.

Wish I could be there... A review of Coastal Living Magazine, December 10, 2007 Submitted by: Ana from Orangeburg, NY
I ordered this magazine because I am originally from Miami, Florida now living in New York. I enjoy reading about all coastal areas- from Maine to the Florida Keys to Washington and Californina. The water always has a calming effect- even if it is just in pictures. I also enjoy seeing the different ways to bring the coast inside the home. It is one subscription I look forward to every month!

Coastal Living Has Changed A review of Coastal Living Magazine, December 7, 2007 Submitted by: Eileen from Winter Springs, FL
I am disappointed in the changes that the magazine has made.
The quality of the photo pages is different, dull, not vivid or shiney,it reminds me of the same type of pages found in the Cooking Light magazine.
The second change that I have noticed is that there are more pictures of the outdoors incoporated into evey article.I subscribed to a shelter home decor magazine not National Geographic.
I enjoyed the magazine in the past because of the beautiful pages through out of gorgeous homes. As a matter of fact, my cousin's home in Charleston was featured in Coastal Living a few years ago.
Sorry to say that the magazine change does not appeal to me and that I won't be renewing my subscription!

If you love the coast you will love Coastal Living A review of Coastal Living Magazine, December 7, 2007 Submitted by: The Captain from Lafayette, NJ
Everything in this magazine from articles to advertising relates to the coast. The articles are very informative and pass along great ideas from decorating to which coastal town to visit next. The photography is fantastic. I look so forward to each issue. I have been reading Coastal Living since their very first
issue and have never been disappointed. Like the ocean, Coastal Living remains constant and beautiful. Thank you Coastal Living for many years of enjoyment.

I relish every page A review of Coastal Living Magazine, July 18, 2007 Submitted by: Cinie from Logandale, NV
Even though I don't live on "the coast" I absolutely love "Coastal Living" magazine. The photography is fabulous, articles fascinating, recipes yummy and everything else is just down-right awesome! I especially enjoy everything and anything pertaining to the "Outer banks of North Carolina". Every issue leaves me wanting for more! I'm so glad I discovered this "gem" of a magazine.
