American Artist is better than I remembered it. It has been several years since I subscribed, and am glad I did. I will keep this going.

This magazine always has a subject I need to read. A review of American Artist Magazine, June 2, 2009 Submitted by: Al from Standish, ME
Regarding "The School Of Wyeth: A Master's Influence" I have been inspired by Andrew Wyeth. Books about him have given me permission to accept the fact that multiple studies are necessary to develop a composition. It was good to see something about Robert Bateman who I was familiar with in the early eighties. It was instructive to see that he now does paintings that are not strickly wildlife.

A magazine of hope A review of American Artist Magazine, May 19, 2009 Submitted by: Ben from Denver, CO
So far I have loved American Artist. I have a huge amount to learn about painting and drawing, but there is the outside possibility that one day I may indeed learn how. The magazine provides me with tips and pointers, lessons about technique, reminders about the fundamentals that all artists simply know (and that I am just learning), and even strong doses of inspiration. After teaching for more than 45 years, developing a new skill is more than exciting; it is, in a certain way, rejuvenating. Ben E, Denver, CO

When my issue of American Artist arrives...my day is a little bit brighter. I look forward to reading the well written articles and seeing the inspiring works and bios of other artists. American Artist a monthly guide for the artist. A review of American Artist Magazine, December 10, 2007 Submitted by: Robert from Greenacres, FL
I enjoy many of the articles in the magazine. Readers are treated to a study of art history and the art and artists of today. The color printing is great. While all media and styles are covered, I hope to see more sculpture.

A mixed bag A review of American Artist Magazine, December 10, 2007 Submitted by: El Cranko from Baltimore, MD
While a good source of technical information, American Artist features practitioners of wildly varying quality. For every Ben Aronson, Mark Karnes and Ephraim Rubenstein, there are dozens of "artists" included who would barely make the rank of Sunday Painter in the world of serious figurative art.

This is my oldtime favorite informative artist mag. A review of American Artist Magazine, December 7, 2007 Submitted by: lorry from frankford, de
Even though this is a new subscription this year, many years ago I first started receiving myAmerican Artist magazine and loved it then as I do now. It's so beautiful. As an artist, I enjoy reading about different techniques in painting and observation and styles. The pictures of art work are great. I like to read the helpful hints for drawing and painting. I look forward to every copy. Thank you.

Price A review of American Artist Magazine, August 21, 2007 Submitted by: Robby from Swanton, VT
Too expensive for a magazine that doesn't come every month.
