5 Star ReviewBeyond the Blurbs
A review of Newsweek Magazine, June 23, 2009
Submitted by: Bibliomaniac from Eureka, CA

The latest issue of Newsweek so far outdoes the old version. Looking forward to each issue filled with thoughtful essays on topics I need to know about. How did I live without it! Great coverage and fine writing.

2 Star ReviewNewsweek Has Changed--I'm Switching to Time!
A review of Newsweek Magazine, June 23, 2009
Submitted by: Yosemite Kurt from Davis, CA

While there is still some decent content here, the changes are not good, in my opinion, and even the font size has been reduced to where it is really hard to see.  Sorry Newsweek, I've been a subscriber for years, but you've lost it.  Good luck!

4 Star ReviewLonger stories carry power
A review of Newsweek Magazine, June 22, 2009
Submitted by: Ed from Dallas, TX

Stories in the new format often run longer, and they carry more impact.  I miss the cartoons and quotes, and I especially miss Anna Quindlan, but she was retiring anyway.

Newsweek isn't Time.  I find myself wishing the magazine were longer.  I have renewed already, and I hope they get ads and can carry more stories.

1 Star ReviewSometimes Change is for the Worst
A review of Newsweek Magazine, June 20, 2009
Submitted by: Cancelled After 15 Years from White Sulphur Springs, WV

Newsweek recently changed from a fine news magazine to a collection of undergraduate journalism school essays.  They even  hired a comic as a guest editor, leaving them with no journalistic integrity at all.  I've cancelled by subscription - it's now just a waste of trees.
