I've been trying to rekindle my writing hobby, and, as I'd hoped, True Story is motivating me to focus on ideas swirling around in my head and finally start to type them out. I enjoy the abundance and variety of short stories in the magazine, along with the lack of boring advertisements, and I look forward to receiving every issue. Cheers!

I am 71 yrs old and as far back as I can remenber my parents received True Story. Mom passed away 10 yrs ago and Dad still got True Story. About a year ago it stopped coming and he was disappointed. He had heard there was no more True Story. Dad is 93 has his own appartment and still drives. So I got on the internet a few months back and found you could get True Story Magazine so I ordered it. He called me up one day and was so excited he had gotten his True Story. It was something my mom and him shared and it was very important to him. So thank you True Story for still being around for people to enjoy.

like most True Story readers , it was passed down from my mother to me 30 years ago. We both still look forward to it every month. Now we have my sister reading it for the last 3 years. when i am finished, which doesnt take but a few days, i take it to the salon i work at and share it with many more readers.

My beloved granny, always read your magizines... therefore I remember growing up and reading them. When I become an adult, she would mail them to me... once she passed away I had to keep reading them, so I subscribe and pass along to my 14 yr. old daughter! What a great family tradition!!

This magazine is one of the best magazines published today.
You can relate to the people in the stories.
Ther.e is a lot of happy endings, and a few disappointments, but one always learns a lesson from them that they can apply to their own life.
This is the best magazine for any age.

I love True Story magazine. I remember once i seen on TV a story I read in True Story. Its real life stories on people have stuff happen and I guess its nice to compare and find out others have same feelings that I do.

I used to read this magazine when I was a teenager. I continued on for several years. After having a family and times were tight I was unable to continue my subscription. I recently was in the Safeway and saw the magazine. I decided to buy one and read it. I am obviously hooked again. It is a truly wonderful magazine. I laugh at some of the stories and cry for the rest of them, but that's a good thing. I have really missed reading True Story.

I've read True Story for many years. I first started reading them when my oldest sister had them, then passed them to me. I lived in the south for many years and could not find them where I lived. Now that I have moved back home to the north east, I could no longer find them here either. I found it online and now I will not let my subscription run out. I have also thought recently to write my story out of a true romace, refoudn, 28 years after we parted.

I been getting this subscription off and on since i was 15. The first time i bought one of your magazines was in San Pedro Calif. I was on visiting a Aunt and I was bored so i bought the magazine. I have a cousin and she reads my hand me downs. She also loves the magazine too.

I enjoy reading True Story. The stories are short and easy to read and always interesting.
I've been reading True Story since I was a boy. Mom was always looking forward to them coming in the mail; this got me curious and eventually I started reading them and was hooked. She eventually found out that I was reading them and didn't mind at all. I'm still reading True Story and also enjoy True Confessions and True Romance. All are great magazines that are fun to read.

I have been reading TS since I was about 13 (1973) I always stole my moms after she was done with it and as I grew up I always bought it then just subscribed to it until April 2007 because the 15 stories turned to maybe 10 stories the magazine shrunk it wasn't worth it anymore and many of the stories were repeats, plus the pages changes terribly to shiny and sticking together, I gave up and stopped subscribing all together, but I really want the May 2007 issue just to see what happened in part 2 of "LET THE RIVER RUN" I have kept many of my TS's so once in a while I go back and read a few

True Story is a disappointing magazine. The stories are not original and the all black and white format is drab. It looks like a magazine you would get in the fifties. I would not recommend this magazine.

Hi,
Years ago I would buy or subscribe to True Story as it was one of my favorite magazines. I always looked forward to receiving it in the mail, couldn't wait to get it and knew to clear my calendar for a few days and make some free time for me b/c that is how long it would take me to read it.
Although, I was so looking forward to getting my magazine and could hardly wait, I was somewhat disappointed when I rec'd it. What use to take me days to read the magazine, from cover to cover, only took me a day with the one I recently rec'd.
What has happened to the REAL "TRUE STORY" Magazine. I was not impressed. The stories were great, but the magazine was not what I grew up with and loved so much.

Until I left this country for 10 years on a mission trip read many of the True Story type mags for years(35 years or more) and enjoyed them. I would be willing to pay more to get more than a very very short time of entertainment and enjoyment. I feel at this time it is a great disappointment. My funds are very limited and I feel I made a very poor choice in choosing to spend my money on this venue for relaxation. It is not the type of story or the writing it is the so few stories and the length of the story.

I began reading True Story in the 60's on thru to the 90's when illness and death hit my family and I lost touch with the magazine. When I started working on some photo albums I found a picture dated in the 1930's where an uncle of my mother's was caught reading TRUE STORY.

I grew up reading my Mothers True Story books. I needed something to relax me after working my 10 hour shifts and taking care of my 4 year old son. I tryed reading books but only to find out that everytime I got to pick it up I forgot what I had already read then I remembered my mothers true story magazines. It is nice to feel connected to the world and to have some relaxing time before going to bed and I can finish the story in the same evening.

True Story Magazine has been a friend to me for many years .It has been at the hospital the times I was in and never leftwhen visting hours were over . It been there through good times and labor pains and years later the birth of grandchildren . When I couldn't find my old friend at the drugstore anymore I got scared and while teaching myself the computer I found my old friend .

I love this magazine I remember reading them when m,y momma use to get them. They are so Good, I wait for the new one each month, the only bad thing is when you start reading it, its hard to put down. I usually read the entire magazine within the first 2 days. I love hearing other peoples trumphs over what hey though was the end of thier road. It makes me realize what i go threw can be conquered. I love that even my 2 years old will sit and listen while I read aloud, I have no worries that i have to stop and make sure its appropraite.

I have been reading True Story for over 50 years. Maybe not every issue but most of them. I have often thought of putting my story in. But it would take a book. I do believe that you don't put enough stories in for the price. I'm wanting to think there used to be more. Subscription price is good. But hard to find them in stores anymore.
I truely enjoy all the stories. Some make you laugh. Some make you cry. But most of all you find many that have more problems than us and makes life easier to bear. God Bless You!!!

I truely enjoy reading True Story .I see a lot of true to life storys and have even read some that fit my life and have helped me make decisions on what to do.
True Story is also kinda like a distant friend ,I look forward to recieving my issue every month as does my sister whom I gave a gift subscription to. I was saddened when I moved and couldn't find it on the store shelf .Was so glad to be able to order it online .
