It's easy to read and find things without having to search for things, it's not too wordy that you have to search the entire article for what you want to know. I am looking for articles written by true "writers" and this does not seem to be the magazine for that. There are multiple areas of information that keep the busy woman up to date. Categories include food, fashion, health, home and relationships. There is also a section on new books that gives an excerpt as well as a listing of books recently released. It is easy reading after a long day of work, and the recipes make for some great meals. I enjoy Good House keeping simply because the articles are a great souce of information on many subjects. I especially like the ideas for changing rooms to fit the season or occasion inexspensively. I can remember as a child my mother getting Good Housekeeping. I always loved looking through the section of the magazine about cooking or baking. I have old editions of the magazine that my mother saved on those issues with the Christmas cookies. It is one of my most special memories I shared with her, baking cookies from the recipes we found in Good Housekeeping.

Good Housekeeping provides interesting articles, much like the internet, but I can hold them in my hand, keep the magazine in the card, or stuff it into my bag on vacation. It contains many articles similar to communities online, but is portable without the risk of hanging onto a laptop computer. It's pages are colorful, and the articles are short enough to peruse when one has just a quick break.

For the last 10 years, I have been reading my mothers magazine. Now living many states away, I needed my own copy. Great ideas and resources for anyone who has any type of home. It also helps you to be healthier you. The one down-side is the many ads, but all magazines have had to do the same thing.

Good to know that there are even more short cuts than I take when cleaning. I thought that maybe I was too much of a slacker, but I am about middle of the road according to some of the Good Housekeeping hints. I must agree with another reader that mentioned in her editorial letter that she thought GH was for grandmothers, but she was wrong. My mom has always gotten GH, but i think they are keeping up with the times very well. And the products for cleaning my shower are quite an excellent relief.

I like GH because it appeals to all ages, and doesn't target any one age segment. When I reached retirement age, my tastes began to change...away from sex how-tos and short & skimpy clothing, to more down to earth coverage I can enjoy and still up to date with decor, clothing and social issues.

I've been a subscriber to Good Housekeeping for at least 3 decades. I enjoy their recipes, especially, but it also has many regular features with all sorts of tips on solving household cleaning problems, improving manners, improving your physical and mental health, decorating, short stories, interviews of people in the entertainment industry, and much more. I really enjoy it from front to back.

I started reading GH at my Gram's house years ago; after she died I found I missed it and subscribed. It has really changed with the times and even as a married-with-no-kids I find it helpful. It has great cleaning and home tips, good health articles, product reviews, and of course the recipes. They do a good job of staying modern. I often find myself sharing articles with people. My only complaint is the lame celebrity interviews by Liz Smith - totally softball questions and no real answers. Would like to see them delve into better issues with people.
Totally worth the $12 or $14/yr.

If I could only read one magazine, this would be it. It has a good mixture of fitness, real life stories, celebrity stories, advise, etc. Also most of the recipes are down to earth foods for the average person. Not recipes that contain items that you have to search the specialty shops for. Keep up the good work, love the magazine.

I have enjoyed reading Good Housekeeping Magazine since I was a teenager. My mother subscribed to Good Housekeeping for years and I really loved gathering the recipes. (especially the cookies ones.) I still enjoy the recipes. I also like the features that answer readers' questions and the readers' letters to the magazine. Good Housekeeping addresses current health issues, fun fashions, and has a great book section. I really enjoy reading it from cover to cover. The photography in the magazine is beautiful and the articles on TV and movie stars are interesting too. I am single and I don't have kids, but I am a teacher so even the articles on family are relevant to me. It's a great magazine.

I do like the way the magazine is laid out. I like the shortness of some articles so you can read it if you are "on the go" and then come back to the longer articles when you have more time.
