I especially love the articles, but the ads keep me updated, too.
I am a docent at the Ringling Museum of ARt in Sarasota and we will be having an exhibit in April which includes one of the artists featured in the latest issue, Mickalene Thomas. I was so glad to read about her in ARTnews.

I find that I can stay in touch with the current global art scene and its trends by reading Art News, even though I live on a small rural island in Puerto Rico. Since I am an independant artist, this input is valuable to me.
This is the best art magazine.

If you can only subscribe to one art magazine, Art News is the one to get. It is informative, hits all of the significant galleries all over the world, and features articles on current trends and cutting-edge artists. The magazine is professional written, and yet it is not "high brow", but is easily understood by the layman. It features many colored reproductions and articles are of interest to anyone inerested in art.
