Running Times is full of articles for the serious runner with tips on nutrition, form, and workouts not intended for the casual runner.
Informative and detailed

I have both Runner's World and Running Times. As a coach and "former" runner (not so much running anymore); Running Times gives me much more relevant information to use with my athletes. I still enjoy Runner's World, but if you are a more serious runner or wanting to improve your abilities, then this magazine is for you.
Running Times > Runner's World

Runner's World tries to cast way too wide of a net and ends up just having you end up skipping a lot of the articles due to just sheer boredom. On the other hand when I picked up a copy of Running Times, I was actually interested in the articles and enjoyed reading it front to back. Go ahead and get this instead of the inferior Runner's World and you won't regret it for a second
It has a nice range of articles pertaining to running.

Running Times is a magazine for the serious runner. Much fewer fluff articles are included than the other major running magazine. Extensive race coverage makes this the natural choice for the true running fan. Solid training advice is helpful to the novice as well as the competitive runner.
Good choice in running reading!!
There is no meaning substance to the magazine and no unbiased review of shoes
