There are many publishing competitors to Barron's. There are also many online news competitors as well. Barron's is just OK. Its information is not timely, but some of their columnists are insightful. Fortune, The Economist and others do a good job too.

Abelson has a keen but old mind with the ability to cull out the BS.

The editorial staff is first rate and goes out on a limb

sometimes with its' own saw.
