Disappointed

I was hoping for a serious canoe magazine but got  a glorification of "cowboy" stunts by immature thrill-seekers.  Do any of these people think of the consequences of their actions when they get in difficulty and call for rescue?  For a cheap thrill they put others at risk and encourage the unwary to try to replicate their dangerous acts.  As a Maine Guide, safety on the water is my primary concern.

Canoe & Kayak is well done.  First-class pictures and intersting text.  I like the reviews (like '5 Classic Family Canoes', March 2011).  I use a homebuilt 15 ft. wood-canvas Little Chief.  Maybe do a review on kit canoes or homebuilts.  Nice magazine!

I have a Madriver canoe and would like more info on this type of water craft...thanks...
