Not for a salon waiting room. A review of The Week Magazine, December 1, 2009 Submitted by: Salon owner
I ordered this magazine for a hair salon waiting room. The description states "all you need to know about everything that matters". That would be true if politics were your interest. There are a few off politic things, but the majority is related to politics. I assumed it would be a general knowledge magazine. I cannot put this in my waiting room as it turns people off. It was a waste of money in my situation.

Highly readable sans scads of advertising inserts. I especially enjoy the non-opinionated articles.

Best Subscription to Give as a Gift A review of The Week Magazine, December 29, 2007 Submitted by: BH
The Week is by far the best magazine to get a wealth of info on a range of subjects in a short amount of time. Witty and informative on many popular/ current events subjects, ranging from academic to absurd. Makes a fantastic gift.

Worth every cent spent and every second reading it A review of The Week Magazine, December 18, 2007 Submitted by: J. Foley from New York, NY
This is the only magazine that I buy anymore. I do not have time to read every newpaper across the USA and abroad, but I do have time to read the summaries in The Week. I tell everyone I know to get this magazine, because it is not bias to one political view. Maybe a little, but much less than every other news source I know. Buy The Week, you won't regret it!

An excellent world news magazine for those of us who don't have time. A review of The Week Magazine, December 13, 2007 Submitted by: DTC from Dallas, TX
This is an excellent world news magazine for those of us who want to read about it in shorter articles. It gives the main thoughts about events and people from different viewpoints. It often quotes journalists from other countries and cites opinions which often oppose to debate the issues. I love this format.

Well-balanced, thoughtful, and succinct coverage A review of The Week Magazine, December 7, 2007 Submitted by: Earl from Edmond, OK
The Week covers the news well, and from a variety of perspectives. The coverage is well- balanced between left and right, and between the U.S. and international perspectives. It covers books, film, the stage, and recorded music with brief reviews, although they are less balanced than the news coverage. The Week is not for those who seek in-depth personal interviews or lengthy historical perspectives, but rather for those who seek a broad, evenhanded, and succinct view of national events, international events, and the arts. I find The Week valuable because I want to know what is going on around me without spending untold hours doing so.

A great news source and an easy read A review of The Week Magazine, July 16, 2007 Submitted by: Dan from Seattle, WA
The Week brings many varried views to the latest news and entertainment items in a balanced way. It's the first magazine both me and my partner share with equal interest.

I liked it more one year ago than now. It's headed towards reporting from more conservative sources which I do not appreciate. I like the wit and wisdom, cartoons, and real estate items.
