Not As Good As It Used To Be A review of Entertainment Weekly Magazine, October 21, 2008 Submitted by: Entertainment Boring
I used to love this magazine. I guess I haven't looked at it for a while. I got a subscription and have been disappointed with each issue. The articles are lame. The cover stories are not interesting. And there is very little news inside that I haven't already read on the net. What a waste. I will definitely NOT renew or buy future issues.

Great magaazine A review of Entertainment Weekly Magazine, December 11, 2007 Submitted by: itmoo
i love this magazine, and look forward to reading it every week. However, for my age, i am more interested in pictures, captions, and small articles, rather than multi-page articles. Even if the topic is something that really interests me, i do not want to read many pages of information.

Covers all aspects of entertainment A review of Entertainment Weekly Magazine, December 11, 2007 Submitted by: Cloaf
This is an excellent magazine for all the aspects of the entertainment world. The movie, TV, music, and DVD reviews along with news and release information keep you up-to-date. However, sometimes the magazine arrives late and some of the television recommendations have already aired.

Love it A review of Entertainment Weekly Magazine, December 10, 2007 Submitted by: JoelS from Burlington, VT
My week is not complete without EW. Great writing and great info.

Great Entertainment Review A review of Entertainment Weekly Magazine, December 10, 2007 Submitted by: basu!
This is a great overview of the pop-cultural landscape as it exists in this point in time.
I wouldn't look to EW to help discern the quality of any film, TV, books or music, but look to it as way to keep current with all things hip and cool.

Great Mag about the Industry, but... A review of Entertainment Weekly Magazine, December 10, 2007 Submitted by: Sarah from Forty Fort, PA
I love Entertainment Weekly. It gives business insight into the entertainment industry, not just gossip. The articles are usually very informative and interesting. In fact, it's a periodical I would consider writing for when I finish my masters degree. However, I noticed as of late, it appears to have taken a... snarky tone, as if trying too hard to be "hip." Some writers make smart remarks that are uncalled for. It's one thing to be elitist, but it's entirely another to be a jerk. That is probably my lone complaint. Other than that, I look forward to EW every week. In fact, I think my mailman steals it on Fridays sometimes, because it's occasionally late. I do not like my mailman.

This is the best mag for any entertainment-related stuff A review of Entertainment Weekly Magazine, December 8, 2007 Submitted by: Ron from Westminster, CO
Movies: Superior (although I don't like the two main reviewers: they are snobbish, provincial and anti-"big budget" unless it's done by Spielberg, Scorcese, or a handful of other favorite directors.
TV: Superior. But they don't tend to cover material on less well-known cable channels unless it's really big-budget or famous.
Music: Great. I guess: I'm not really much of a popular music fan, but on the odd occasions in which one of "my" sorts of artists releases a new CD, they generally cover it.
DVDs: Great. No complaints
Books: Great. Basically they only cover best-sellers and a few others. If you really want in depth book reviews for any but the best-sellers, you're better off going somewhere else.
Extra Perk 1: Occasional columns from Stephen King: he always writes an interesting column (even if I don't always agree with him).
Extra Perk 2: EW has (spread out throughout the year) special issues (NOT extra issues, but regular issues which are strongly devoted to a particular venue or topic). For example, "50 Smartest People in Hollywood" was last week.

Best Entertainment Mag Ever! A review of Entertainment Weekly Magazine, December 7, 2007 Submitted by: Angie from Cedar City, UT
I've been a huge fan (and valiant subscriber) to EW since Gladiator came out in 2000. It's intelligent and witty and informative and everything else a magazine like this should be. I strongly recommend it to everyone.

Great for Entertainment A review of Entertainment Weekly Magazine, July 13, 2007 Submitted by: JFlagg1978 from DeKalb, IL
I would have to say that this magazine delivers exactly it says that it will. A little weekly entertainment news; music, movie and book reviews. It has a few articles about upcoming movies or TV shows, or interviews with actors. It has a little bit of everything entertainment wise.

Awesome good entertainment times! A review of Entertainment Weekly Magazine, July 12, 2007 Submitted by: Mike from Denver, CO
This magazine is definitely for the pop-culture fan. They have sections for movie reviews, TV reviews, book reviews, music reviews. And the stories they cover are usually up-to-date with the current pop-culture events and are written very well. It's just plain fun to read. Sometimes they get a little bit too carried away with the happenings-ons conerning this or that celebrity, but overall a good buy.

Best overvall entertainment magazine A review of Entertainment Weekly Magazine, July 12, 2007 Submitted by: Johnny from Middletown, CT
Entertainment Weekly is a must-have for any pop culture aficionado or anyone who like to stay current on entertainment news. They cover movies, television, music, books, and even stage so you get the best overall coverage of entertainment news. The articles are witty, creative, and informative, and showcase not only entertainers and creators, but fans as well. I look forward to my new issue every week.

The Reader's Digest of Cerebral Recreations A review of Entertainment Weekly Magazine, July 12, 2007 Submitted by: Michael Gallo from Troy, MI
Entertainment Weekly encapsulates pop culture, presenting a world of possible diversions of the mind, through the eyes of a professional reviewer and the soul of an insider, without being fan-atic. With an overload of entertainment options available to consumers, whether in hard-copy, digital or live formats, EW reviews, recommendations and in-depth articles are an influential source when determining where to spend my time and money.
