If you want to steer clear of the left or right wing bias, read this magazine.  The writers may be conservative, but their reviews are rational and articulate.  The articles are ahead of the curve, and the focused reporting allows me to contemplate the issues rather than be manipulated by a journalist' concept.  If you want the facts--this is one reliable place to find them.

To increase your readership turn "right". further diferentiate yourself from Time and Newsweek by being more for free enterprise less for socialistic ideas such as universal health care.

The liberal press has given up reporting all the news in favor of being "attack dogs". Reasonable people will ultimately see through this.

I have found US  News to be a very good periodical.  However, I am pondering a switch to Newsweek.  I have not yet definitely decided.

Your broad balance of international & domestic along with culture, business and what's up is to the point. One can read the magazine and gain some facts rather than just opinions.

2 Star ReviewA very average news magazine

US News and World Report is not the magazine it used to be.  It used to be a good, solid alternative to TIME and NEWSWEEK, but no longer.  The covers belong on the cover of REDBOOK or some similar magazine.  There seems to be less and less hard news and more and more fluff.  And lots of white space on the pages.  Little hard reporting.

4 Star ReviewGraduate Schools need more attention in this magazine

To Whom it may Concern:

I really like the style and the language of your magazine, and I think it is a perfect information kit as for high school and college students so as for regular readers. It seems to me that the majority of topics is covered about the choice and adaptation to the college environment for freshmen and high-school graduates. However I was not able to see anything that touches the topics of those who are in college already and who thinks about changing their carrier. It would be very good idea to touch some issues on continuing and professional education such as Law, Medicine, and Business in way that how one can pursue those field and degrees (M.D. J.D.) even if he or she graduated from college. How a person can get his chance to go to Medical or Law school if he/she wasn't able to succeed in  college? What new opportunities in educational carrier have those who ones dropped their college education? Some answers on thess questions are available for students at college, but many of us start to think about them after graduation.

US News & World report has perfect balance of news, science, world and consumer issues covered. I found it much better than Time or Newsweek. Their periodic ratings of schools, medical facilities and the like are second to none!

5 Star ReviewBalanced news reporting

This  weekly mag is the most objective I've found of U.S news periodicals, something I wouldn't say about Time or Newsweek.  This characteristic is what's most important to me about Us News .....

In addition it frequently puts out practical reports on everyday subjects that the reader can put to good use, on subjects such as finances, health, recreating.
