I like this magazine but it is way to expensive compared to what it offers. It is NOT a good value. TIME does NOT discount this mag hardly at all and no wonder: I read recently it is the most successful magazine in the history of magazine publishing so WHY discount it? I can't blame them if I was in their shoes but the reality is that it costs too much.

People is the best in brainless reading. Probably a 4th grade reading level, and fluffy content. The perfect reward for getting on the stationary bike at the gym.

People is the only magazine that I can honestly say I look forward to reading each week. I don't have a lot of time to read so I don't want to spend a lot of time having to look at ads before getting to real stories. People magazine makes it so enjoyable. You actually get to read stories, not ads. You feel like you really get to know everyone that they report on.

People magazine is about people like me and people very different from me. Eventhough English is not my first languaje, I enjoy reding it's articles, because they are enganging and easy at the same time!!!!!!!!! I have been a loyal reader for the past 15 years and hope to be for many more to come

I have always been a fan of People Magazine, although I must admit there were quite a few times this year where I just had to toss it because it was overkill on some celebrities (Brittany, Paris and Ms. Lohan!), and some photos were in very poor tatste--example: who in their right mind takes a photo of Kanye West at his mother's burial ceremony, but worse prints it. That kind of storyline, even pictorial reporting skeeves me. However, that said People shows the Hollywood of today and hrows in a few actual stories that make it food for fodder.
The title tells it all. It is about people.

Although this magazine concentrates on the famous and those in the who are more likely to be in the entertainment business, it sometimes has some stories about ordinary people doing unusual things. However, I would like to see some more news on the political people who are most important in this time of negativity about the war, the president/VP and Congress. The entertainment industry is rather vapid. How about something that has more meaning and depth and affects our daily lives.
