Best Writer's Magazine A review of The Writer Magazine, March 18, 2011 Submitted by: CJ from Hardy, AR
Although I was a little peeved when The Writer changed it's format and went to a glossy a few years back, I've adjusted and still prefer it over it's competitor--Writer's Digest. It always holds two or three articles of interest to me and although the market section has decreased its numbe of pages over the years, I still find it helpful and up to date.

mnemonic to write A review of The Writer Magazine, July 1, 2009 Submitted by: yvettejohnson from brooklyn, ny
received first issue a few weeks ago. i was laid off a year ago and made a decision to write everyday if olny a few words for a few seconds per day. first i was fearful that i would fall and give up as i had done so often in the past. however i did better than expected. funny enough, and to my suprise i write about anything and everything; first thing in the morning, during the day and before i go to bed at night. next step - getting up in the middle of the night to write (ha ha ha). i have quelled my anxiety, jumpiness and bad nerves through writing. i got up my confidence to purchase your magazine as an investment and as a tool to hone my skills as i develop an old but rediscovered gift now that i cannot find employment.

Best magazine for new and experienced writers. A review of The Writer Magazine, December 2, 2008 Submitted by: Duke from Plainfield, IN
THE WRITER is one of the best magazines ever published when it comes to helping writers hone their craft. The articles are to the point, and very helpful from many standpoints of writing, regardless of the genre involved. I would highly recommend this publication to anyone who is involved in the art of writing.

A must need for any writer .... A review of The Writer Magazine, December 18, 2007 Submitted by: hawk from Hixson, TN
As with Writers Digest, this periodical is an invaluable tool and asset to anyone interested in publishing written work.
The articles assists a person with fiction, non-fiction, preparing article manuscripts, novels, etc. Having read The Writer for the past 10-years, I can attest to it's valuable teachings. In addition, The Writer provides information on writing markets. Articles assist the writer in preparing appropriate and effective query letters.
The reason why I began reading The Writer a decade ago was for the purpose of altering my writing style. My writing style was more academic and my desire was to get a larger audience for my work. As such, my writing style a decade ago was insufficient to accomplish this objective.
Having been published through major publishers in the past, I knew what needed to be done. Some people would have found this to be easy, but I had some work to be done in preparing for this goal. The Writer was instrumental in helping me through this process. The resources provided through The Writer and Writers Digest have brought me to the point where I can now begin to seek the publication of my work.
The Writer is a must needed resource for anyone interested in writing and seeking to have their written works published.
