NOT REALLY LIBERTARIAN

I've been a subscriber for two years now, and it's taken me this long to discover REASON'S agendas. First and foremost: an obsession with the current president--devoting most of an issue to bashing him as a loony. This is the "Trump derangement syndrome" that I didn't expect to see in a supposedly libertarian publication. Secondly a moral laissez faire attitude. If it feels good, do it, so long as it doesn't immediately affect me. This attitude advocates a moral relativism, that there's really no such thing as universal truth or universal morality. For example in the April 2017 issue, the cover story is WHY IS THE FBI SO OBSESSED WITH SEX? There is no attempt whatsoever in reporting the enormous pedophile problem in which children are kidnapped from all over the world and bought and sold as chattel for sexual abuse and off-the-books child labor. In CHRISTIANS STARTED THE WEDDING WARS there is no alarm that practicing Christians have been intentionally demonized and marginalized in this country and Europe, as well as in the Third World, while Islam has been encouraged and protected. In short, REASON seems to combine nihilism with a Neocon spin. I've had enough and don't plan to renew.

Intelligent libertarian perspective

Intelligently written articles from a libertarian perspective, though sometimes a bit annoyingly ideological (I write that as a civil libertarian who recognizes 'free markets' still need some common sense regulations).

Reson Magezine

I expected more conservative articles. Colorado new marijuana law and its effect does not interest me. most of the articles are way to long and not very exciting. I would be hard pressed to give the magazine one star. Doubt very much if you will print this review. I am a true conservative.

Satisfying

THe magazine is great to catch up with issues that we are having to deal with. I'm newly interested in the liberal ways so I am enjoying the articles and getting a different perspective on issues that we should be concerned about.
