Great magazine

"I am a baseball nut. Enjoyed it more before it expanded to other sports. Still great. However, not enough baseball. Also, too much NFL draft. Usually have heard very little or nothing about the potential draftees. Usually try to ignore it until my team picks. Then read about the player."

I liked it when it was Baseball Weekly. You used to get great stats and stories about baseball. Then they added Football and then low and behold Nascar!. That is when I had enough. I wanted a paper that would give me precise info and stats on Baseball and then they expanded it to rubbish. Their fantasy issue (which you have to buy at the newstand, not included in subscription is pretty good, but quite frankly Rotowire is much better.

The Baseball Magazine

I only gave it a 3 star because I've just started; could be higher. Way better than Sports Illustrated. They'd lose one issue every 3 months. Also they tried to satisfy EVERBODY! The just put too much crap in there that real basic sports fans aren't interested in and cut back significantly on Phil Taylor's articles. We (my wife and I) were subscrbers for 9 years and never got a call from them when we stoped renewing, treating us like one year subscibers. They should have been interested in WHY we were leaving. Best, Mike

The Closest thing to The Sporting News Magagzine

A GREAT JOY to find in mailbox.Comprehensive so far as covering weekly baseball & football happinings. Each team ha a article devoted to current news.Would welcome back a statistics. Also a more NBA|/NHL coverage would be nice. All in All the publisher should be proud of this magazine. Sean R.

Where's the baseball?

It used to be called Baseball Weekly--a 4 or 5 star publication. then it was Sports Weekly still worth it during the season. Now its what? Football and basketball Sports Lite? NASCAR? Where's hunting and Fishing? Where's poker? And where are Bill Ricig's funny cartoons? Most of all? WHERE ARE THE WEEKLY BASEBALL STATS? These were the heart and soul of the paper--pretty the only reason to read it. Now it's all human interest stories like any other sports mag, most of which do the job a lot better. I originally subscribed because I wanted a weekly does of baseball all year 'round. I've gritted my teeth as baseball has been relegated to less and less space. It's a shame, but the fact is,as it stands now, Sports Weekly is simply useless for a serious baeball fan. And don't tell me you can get this stuff on line-- of course you can, but you can't compare stats by simply folding the paper like you could--unless you print out paper, you can't do that any more. It's infuriating and sad. A betrayal.

It's all football and coverage of other sports, no coverage of college sports...not really "Sports" Weekly

Not really a "sports" weekly

I think they should retitle this magazine, Baseball and a bit of NFL football weekly. They are the only two sports the mag seems to cover and even then it seems 80% baseball and 20% football. No college football, no pro or college basketball, no racing or boxing coverage whatsoever. If you're a baseball fan, great, if you like other sports, this is NOT the magazine for you.

The worst sports magazine ever

If i would have know that all this was is a piece of newspaper i would not of paid or even got this magazine. It looks like a piece out of a local newspaper it is a joke. I would rather get SI for less monday and the same amount of iccues. I will not be getting this ever again. It is a sports section in a newspaper not a magazine. Huge waste of money. Ted
