The best of the West ! A review of Sunset Magazine, July 14, 2009 Submitted by: Artfuldjer from Syracuse, NY
Sunset is much more than I expected. It covers many more aspects of life in the Southwest than I was even aware of.
From eating at home to dining out. Week-end outtings to week-long family vacations. Planting an informal garden or visiting a Botanical Garden. Sunset magazine is informative, fun and full of beautiful pictures.
I wish this magazine was larger and published more frequently, I could spend that much more time enjoying myself in places I love and places I've not yet experienced.

Always informative A review of Sunset Magazine, May 5, 2009 Submitted by: madaboutcats from Crestline, CA
I particularly enjoy the gardening and travel sections. Unfortunately, there are usually far too many and some hard to find ingredients in the cooking section. Overall, I look forward to my issue every month.

Disappointing A review of Sunset Magazine, April 21, 2009 Submitted by: Esterdotter
I was disappointed in the first issue, and am hoping it is only a fluke. Sunset has been a good magazine in the past, but there was very little of substance or any real use in this issue.

My favorite magazine! A review of Sunset Magazine, January 9, 2009 Submitted by: Loving the West
I have subscribed to Sunset for about 2 years now -- I love it! You can pick your region (e.g. I get the southwest edition, but there is also a Northern California edition, and a few others). The recipes always look so good and I have never been disappointed -- many are very healthy. The magazine has shown me things I never knew about in my own city of Phoenix, and also helped me to appreciate the desert beauty when I was a newcomer -- I followed a road trip through the Arizona deserts that was featured in the magazine a few years back. The articles, the pcitures, the style -- it is all amazing. And, the city highlights aren't tourist traps, but real insider info on great places. I haven't enjoyed a magazine this much since I was a kid!

Great magazine if you life in California A review of Sunset Magazine, December 30, 2007 Submitted by: Debi from North Bend, WA
While I enjoy the articles, they are very focused on California living. A few articles about other western states are thrown in to give the magazine a well rounded flavour but the overall focus in travel and gardens is what is best about California. It's too bad. We could use a real West Coast magazine!

best magazine ever A review of Sunset Magazine, December 7, 2007 Submitted by: jane from Newton, KS
We don't live in the west any more but continue to subscribe to Sunset because it is by far the best magazine. Every category is an interest. I used to save interesting articles and discard the rest of the magazine but cannot do that with Sunset because of the phenominal number of intersting articles in every category. I had to get my sister a subscription because she would borrow mine and not be able to give it back!

Good source for travelling in NW. A review of Sunset Magazine, December 7, 2007 Submitted by: None from Boise, ID
This magazine has good information on some of the out-of the way places to visit. We also enjoy the recipes that are featured.

Needs for content A review of Sunset Magazine, December 7, 2007 Submitted by: Patsy from Albany, OR
I love your magazine but have noticed lately, especially with the last few issues that the content is getting less and less. The magazine used to be this wonderful thick issue full of so many different things. Please don't keep scaling it down.
I love the features on remodeling and having more simple ideas for food for entertaining would be wonderful.
Thank you for asking on my imput.

Great recipes - A review of Sunset Magazine, December 7, 2007 Submitted by: M.
I seem to always find THE recipe I need for that special event. Also, the gardening section is done with our bay area weather in mind. I must admit some of the homes are more modern than my taste but, I enjoy seeing the remodels. Always something interesting to read. Keep up the good work.

Truly in a class by itself regarding travel, cooking, landscaping and home design for those of us who enjoy the West. A review of Sunset Magazine, August 21, 2007 Submitted by: Sagehen from Missoula, MT

This is the best recipe magazine!!! A review of Sunset Magazine, August 20, 2007 Submitted by: Lulu from Cave Creek, AZ
Love your food sections and household hints and garden hints that you have in your magazine...Excellent magazine and I've always cut out recipes and pictures of gardens and greenhouses to see if I can duplicate them. I can't, but I keep trying!

Great for Californians... A review of Sunset Magazine, July 15, 2007 Submitted by: MST66 from Oakland, CA
Sunset is a classic for Californians and other West Coasters - the only changes I would like to see is for more articles on improving other types of homes - lofts, apartments and such that so many of us live in now due to the high cost of housing. It would also be great to see more of a focus on healthy eating, in particularly vegetarian, there are entirely (my vegetarian opinion) too many heavy, meat based recipes for a magazine that has evolved in so many other ways. That said, there are a wide variety of articles on all sorts of things, and no one should think that Sunset is strictly a home and garden magazine, there is plenty about traval and usually some interesting historical information in each issue.
