I switched over to Time from Newsweek when Newsweek's subscription price rose to $40 annually. Time is a better deal. It has in-depth articles with distinctive perspectives comparable to Newsweek.

Best resource for current events A review of Time Magazine, March 22, 2009 Submitted by: Del from Racine, WI
I have two kids in college and they read the magazine to keep up with the news of the world.

slim articles A review of Time Magazine, January 27, 2009 Submitted by: emmy from Annapolis, MD
This is not the TIME I remember from a few years ago but I did enjoy their coverage of the Inaugaration.

Time Magazine A review of Time Magazine, January 20, 2009 Submitted by: Bill from tempe, AZ
I have read more than my fair share of weekly magazines, so I have an inkling as to what I want and actually need from a weekly. I want news and stories relating to other issues like Health & Science and Politics.
Time delivers for me on all fronts. I could be printed on newsprint and I would still read it from cover-to-cover like I do each week. I have learned more from this magazine in weekly doses in such a short time -- moreso than what I would have to devote a month or more to the daily newspapers to get nibbles.
I read the magazine in doctor's offices in recent months and have gotten snagged on the article depth and color and feel from the authors of the articles contained within.
Thank you Time Magazine for delivering to me, week after week, the very best in news and views on the domestic and international level and most factual also.

good news magazine. A review of Time Magazine, December 2, 2008 Submitted by: Hank P from Dunedin, FL
I liked the old format a lot better, 5 yrs ago or so. Sometimes print on colored background is hard to read, therefore please refrain from doing so, black on white is best for seniors.
The people section was more interesting in the past! Comparisons and scales are confusing!
However, balanced reporting and well researched articles is what I appreciate and depend on. Time gives me the full story after the initial hype and reaction are over. I look forward to this distilled and balanced reporting.
Keep up the good work!

Time A review of Time Magazine, November 27, 2008 Submitted by: Jay
Exactly what you would expect. As I don't have time to read the paper or watch the news daily, it keeps me up to date on what's going on in the world.

This is a fantastic news magazine! A review of Time Magazine, November 25, 2008 Submitted by: ARM
This is a fantastic news magazine! It covers a wide variety of subjects, has a very nice layout, and it well-written.

If you want to know what's going on in the world . . . A review of Time Magazine, November 6, 2008 Submitted by: Beanie
Time magazine is a fantstic investment. It sifts through the complicated and massive social and political news of each week, and presents what you need to know with candor, wit, and clarity. I feel more aware and enlightened since I started reading, and it's been a much more enjoyable read than the local newspaper.

Magazine does not live up to its past standards A review of Time Magazine, October 29, 2008 Submitted by: Avid Reader
We have been subscribing to Newsweek for many years and thought it was time for a change. Since Time magazine has a history of excellence, we cancelled Newsweek. We are so disappointed. Articles are far from in-depth and the magazine contains more ads than thorough well -written articles. We find the articles more fluff than substance. When the subscription ends we will certainly not be renewing it.

What happened? A review of Time Magazine, June 19, 2008 Submitted by: Texas Sunshine
I'm not sure what happened to this magazine. I used to read it a few years ago and I subscribed to it earlier this year and had to cancel. There are no intellegent articles anymore and it hardly talks ago current events. I am so disappointed with it.

Miss some of the old format A review of Time Magazine, December 29, 2007 Submitted by: why? from New York, NY
Getting used to you, but I really miss the essays on health, electronics, etc. that used to appear at the end of the magazine.
Sometimes I'm alert and read straight through from the beginning, but sometimes not so alert, and just want to be interested-- which that section satisfied nicely.
Also, not so satisfied with having to turn page to finish short article-- liked having articles conclude on the same page.
Thanks for asking!

watered down from years ago A review of Time Magazine, December 18, 2007 Submitted by: JB from portland, or
I would cancel this magazine if I had time. It seems to have less depth and detail than it had years ago.

This is a great news and current events magazine... A review of Time Magazine, December 12, 2007 Submitted by: jml from Sylva, NC
I'd be lost without TIME. It has been a household fixture for 40 years. I get information on a wide range of topics, in short and long news pieces and feel more knowledgable about the world as a result of reading it,

very good weekly summary magazine A review of Time Magazine, December 12, 2007 Submitted by: urs from auburn, al
I can easily read this in a couple of hours. It fills me in on weekly happenings, covers a lot of subjects (those I'm not interested in I ignore), and I trust the ratings and reviews. Have read it for years and will continue to do so.

It has become a liberal mouthpiece! A review of Time Magazine, December 10, 2007 Submitted by: Larry from Vero Beach, FL
I have subscribed to Time magazine for over a half a century. I will not re-subscribe next spring. I believe it is now biased, one-sided, liberal, taken over by the environmentalists, one worlders, globalists, etc. I think its days as the foremost US news magazine are numbered.

The Best News Magazine A review of Time Magazine, December 10, 2007 Submitted by: Olive from Burtonsville, MD
I really enjoy Time magazine because it gives me the most up-to-date world and local news events. It features articles that are interest to just about everyone. It's compact so that I can carry it on the train to read to and from work. It is also easy to read and understand and I like the fact that it comes every week. That's just enough time for me read it before the next issue comes!

Less pages, less news A review of Time Magazine, December 7, 2007 Submitted by: jakejay from Vashon, WA
Although the coverage is compleat, there is not nearly the amount of news coverage than there used to be. The international news is particularly spotty.

The advantage of a Time subscription A review of Time Magazine, December 7, 2007 Submitted by: Chauncey from Fort Collins, CO
Time magazine gives a good overview of current news on a variety of subjects and also provides enough background information to make the news relevant to the moment. Like most news outlets, it tends toward liberal thinking regarding politics; but one has the responsibility of exploring all views, and a conservative point of view can be found elsewhere. I enjoy the magazine, as it is also a "quick read."

Good overall current news coverage. A review of Time Magazine, July 19, 2007 Submitted by: Nan from Midwest City, OK
I read Time to become informed, however, just like the networks' evening news programs, I must keep reminding myself of their liberal bias.

Time Magazine format and content continue to deteriorate A review of Time Magazine, July 19, 2007 Submitted by: Jon from Palmer, Ma
I have subscribed to this magazine for over 30 years. It is at its lowest ebb yet. The format is hard(er) to read. Ads are made to look like news articles to fool you into trying to read them. They've got goofy pictures of the people who write the article (like I really care what they look like).
Overall, am very disappointed in how this publication continues to decline

Time magazine is a must for me and those with whom I share it. A review of Time Magazine, July 13, 2007 Submitted by: Agnes Meysenburg from Milwaukee, WI
I have been getting Time Magazine for years, and it has been a source of stimulating news and commentaries on the news. The articles are comprehensive reviews of relevant issues and force the reader to reflect deeply on both national and international events that affect us all in so many ways. It is truly one of my favorite magazines, one that I will not give up as long as I can read.

The best magazine to pass on to my college students A review of Time Magazine, July 12, 2007 Submitted by: CC from Bedford, NH
For the past twenty years as a college instructor, (adjunct) I have been able to pull helpful material for my non-traditional students. Whether medical, business or computer courses, what a perfect way to begin a six or seven page Report by sourcing Time Magazine.

I read Time all the time A review of Time Magazine, July 12, 2007 Submitted by: "dc" from PA
The weekly news magazine provides me with a sound balance of articles on domestic and international events. The majority of articles are long enough to provide substance and short enough to retain my attention to the end.
While financially necessary I occasionally find the numerous pages of advertising distracting, but I compliment the magazine on its ability to seldom separate segments of an article.
The photos and article lay out make for comfortable reading, and when I put the magazine down I feel informed.
I look forward to receiving Time each week.
