So far--nothing that really applies to me.  Already have to be well off to invest in any of their scenarios.  My husband is self-employed--how about some advice for him?  Not just people who sit around playing the market.

DO NOT get this magazine to help you determine best investments.  The Kiplinger 25 list of mutual funds is half full of losers, yet the magazine staff will leave awful mutual funds on the list for long periods (while your portfolio continues to shrink).  Save the money and just check internet sites like Schwab or Fidelity for their picks--they certainly know more than this magazine staff.

Great tips--for an older generation.

I really enjoyed Kiplinger's Personal Finance, but the tips were definitely for an older crowd (45+). Not exactly what I had anticipated, but not a total waste.

I have always enjoyed this magazine, was a Business Teacher for 30 years and read it in the library and used some articles in my classes. I am trying to decide what steps to take the save some of my retirement funds with the present situation. As a single woman I need advice that I can depend on--not local financial advisors.
