After teaching 7th grade social studies for a full week, it's great to read the Economist to get the brain working again. The magazine provides insightful articles on stateside and world issues. The Economist is written at level beyond Time and Newsweek. Great information and analysis of current issues.

The Economist is known as one of the oldest, most upstanding news sources in English. The Economist focuses on current major political and economic issues and provides either short clippings or more in-depth coverage on these issues. The Economist, as a whole, leans to the right--trade liberalism and globalization are two of its tenets--but nevertheless represents well the mainstream opinion (and should be taken as such).

The economist was ordered as a teaching aid for a middle-school econ. class. It turned out to be a thorough news magazine too. I use it in class and for background often.

The Economist is Dynamic to the globe as it represents so many aspects of the econonomy,. From my little corner in rural america where I don't even know if ten other people in my county have ever heard of the Economist magazine. Then I get the privelage to read about  other corners big and small all around the globe. That is what makes me an Economist reader and looking forward to each issue. Keep it coming!
