This is THE magazine for people who are interested in the history of all types of needlework.  It contains stories about textile history, patterns for making reproductions of historic textile items, and articles on antique textile tools.  Many of the issues focus on one type of needlework, such as knitting, embroidery, crochet...  Past issues I particularly enjoyed included one containing articles on WWII knitting and another with a touching story on the Triangle Shirt Factory, and one with articles on crochet.

I've seen older copies of this magazine as well as recent editions and it's one of the more interesting texts I've encountered. I've read about handwork that I didn't even know existed prior to reading the articles. The included projects are generally very elegant and fun to look at and read about, whether or not a person is interested in actually doing them.
