To many adds not the magazine it used to be.

Articles about ordinary maintenance and boat handling for the average boat owner not written about as much as used to be and too many ads crowding out good ol stories of not so long ago. The rag ain't what it used to be.

Where's the Beef? More pages of boats for sale than real substance!

I thought this publication would have more informative content to educate not to sell. While I appreciate the importance of advertisement to cover costs of publication, there also needs to be some meaningful value that benefits a reader. The last several pages in the magazine are just loaded with pictures of Yachts for sale. Boring!!! I can get that information for free over the internet. I was hoping the magazine would teach me more about the lure of boating, yachting, and sailing especially sail boats the original form of Yachting. I was expecting detailed sections on technology such as electronic innovations, mechanical improvements, maintenance, boat design, safety improvements and real life stories about navigating, weather challenges and boating on the water. More How-To's, Do's and Don'ts and Advantages and Disadvantage on various subjects would serve to improve the readers knowledge and make you look forward to the next issue. How about a story that continues in the next issues to keep your interest and curiosity energized for what's comming. The stories are shallow and I can get as much information about the destinations visited by yachting on the internet or even in an AAA tour magazine. The magazine reminds me of Robin Leech's television show about the 'Lifestyles of the RIch and Famous googling over "champaign wishes and caviar dreams". As I said in my brief comment: Where's the beef? I'll not be renewing my subscription.
