The Nation offers terrific essays on issues and events of the day from a liberal point of view, most of the time presenting views that can't be found in the main-stream media (except for Bill Moyers and Keith Olberman).  But even Olberman rants and yells instead of presenting well-thought out ideas.  The rational, secular, green, tolerant left, which I believe this magazine appeals to, is a valid and desirable position to have politically in light of the extreme right wing in this country, as represented by Sarah Palin and her ilk.  Thank you.

The Nation has excellent features from the center and the center-liberal areas of political opinion. I may not agree with everything they say. But I still enjoy reading it and I find it informative and thought-provoking. I love how small it is. How it fits in your hand. Katha Pollitt: Now she is a real, real, real, really real person.
