Essence is one of my favorite magazines.  It includes health, politics, education, and beauty topics- just to name a few.  Essence doesn't soley cater to one type of woman, it has information that can reach younger/older, single/married, student/career women, etc.  Unlike other women magazines, Essence doesn't focus on celebrity gossip, orgasms, and fashion faux pas only.  Women want to read about more than these topics, and Essence offers this.

This is the only magazine that I will spend money on. I love the fact that it is targeted towards African-American women, young or old. The articles in this magazine are very educational, inspiring, engaging, and helpful. What ever it is, you will find something for you in Essence.
